Les Étoiles de Mougins – showcase of chefs, chef demos, workshops and photography: Mougins, France Sept. 27-29


This is the most elegant Festival de la Gastronomie I have ever seen! Tucked in the hills north of Cannes, in the lovely village of Mougins, the most brilliant chefs have gathered to celebrate, demonstrate and give workshops that will inspire the “chef” in everyone.

Gérald Passédat est un chef cuisinier français du restaurant “Le Petit Nice” à Marseille, Trois étoiles au Guide Michelin depuis 2008.


At Les Étoiles de Mougins, I learned how to make a crab entrée (infused with Yuzu un citron japonais/ Japanese lemon), finished with broccoli cream and a black garlic emulsion. This was insanely delicious!

    That crab ENTREE with the broccoli puree looks a little small. 😉

      Oh the subtleties of the French culture!

      The dish I prepared was an appetizer:

      une entrée – appetizer/starter: entrée entrée can mean “main course” in English
      le plat principal – main course
